Questions about the assistant
Can it identify a competitor's part number?
It searches the order codes and attributes held on this site. Where the RMS team has recorded a verified equivalent from another manufacturer, the result says so and links to the product page that lists it. Where nothing is recorded, the honest answer is "no match here" and a route to a person — never a guess.
Are the prices and stock live?
Prices are the catalogue's list prices in South African rand, excluding VAT. Availability shown is a listing; every line is confirmed against the supplier before an order is released, and a quotation states stock and lead time in writing.
What does "possible match" mean?
The product meets some of what you asked for but not all of it, and the result lists exactly what differs — a different pole count, a lower rating, another coil voltage — so you can decide, or ask the sales desk.
Is this artificial intelligence?
The matching is deterministic: order codes and ratings are compared, not guessed. No language model is involved on this site, so nothing is written that the catalogue does not state.
